This is my first year of participating in the A to Z April Blogging challenge, and my palms are all sweaty with nervousness. No really.
To the uninitiated, the A2Z blogfest is blogging everyday in April except on Sundays, thematically from A to Z. April has thirty days and four Sundays. Subtract the Sundays and you have 26 days to blog, starting with the letter A on April 1st, B on April 2nd and so on. I love a good challenge, and this just magically appeared when I felt I was going through a writers’ block.
After signing up, I began thinking about random topics to write about from A2Z. Easy-peasy I thought, until I actually got down to listing my options. I could go with random, but by then there was another wave arising in the blogworld.
TO THEME OR NOT TO THEME?
THAT IS THE QUESTION!
Of course, I have already told you. I LURRRRV a good challenge. So I picked: TO THEME!
Then began uneasy days and nights. Of writhing and squirming in blogg-agony! What is my theme going to be? My first idea was to go with the stuff I got educated with. But telling everyone about teeth is not exactly a very tasteful topic. Or maybe it is. Oh, maybe next year! Already looking forward to it.
But as I was writhing away, my daughter’s school came like the blessed Messiah! Her school is hosting a CRAFT BANDWAGON on 21st March, 2014. You heard it, nay? Today, it is! So while I was busy rolling some old magazine papers trying to create something good out of waste, it hit me like a thousand bricks falling on my head.
So my theme for A2Z blogfest 2014 is going to be…
(drumroll please!)
You heard me. I will make projects, easy do-it-yourself and sometimes best from the waste, and blog about it. Every day in April.
Don’t worry, I am as eager as you to know whether I will complete the challenge successfully or not. If I do, it will be a cathartic experience for me.
So all you friends of the Mind Brew Blogger, please carry your pom-pons at all times, and remember to cheer when I hit a home run.
Let the fun begin!!!
This is a BLOG HOP.

Give me a D, Give a I, Give me Y, she yells while shaking her pom poms frantically. This for sure is a scary challenge. Will be watching for your posts, I love repurposing. I almost never buy anything new anymore. My latest project has been making aprons out of old tablecloths and shirts. Good luck, have fun, and I am sure I will find some great projects to try.
Thanks Linda 😀

Yayyyy!! I love DIYs. Give me a scissor and a cardboard and I sit like an obedient child cutting my way through it. 🙂
WOW! just WOW! not only are you going to blog but you are going to craft your way through the alphabet. I am beyond impressed. I’m also likely to try one or two of your crafting ideas. I never seemed to have the time and I miss the fun and enjoyment of making things with my hands. There’s such a pure joy in the act of creation.
