All those who have girls will know what I mean when I say that you can never have too many accessories. We have clips, bows, hairbands, scrunchies, beads and the works. Still, we always need something to match with every outfit.
This old denim headband is perfect to go with most casual clothes.
I had an old denim pants, which was frayed and most importantly (no longer fitting. :()
All my hopes of ever getting back into those pair dashed with every passing year. Acceptance, my friend, is a great healer. It gives you tremendous closure.
So finally I decided to LET GO of those denims and simply buy new ones.
Remember that denim organizer on day 4 of the challenge? Yeah. That came from the same denim jeans.
Now these headbands are so ridiculously easy, anyone, and I mean anyone can make them.
Things you will need
-
An old pair of denim that you won’t mind giving up
-
A pair of scissors
-
A sewing needle and a thread
-
a band of elastic
That’s it!
For the braided headband, cut three equal strips of denim, about 18 inches long and one and half inch wide.
Stack them together and sew at one end.
Now start braiding.
Once you reach the other end, sew the ends together again.
Measure around your kid’s head. Measure the distance between the two ends. Your elastic should be less than this, so it stretches and holds the headband taut around your child’s head.
Sew the elastic to both ends.
For the denim bow
